O Lord
I want to be like You.
I have a friend named John who has a PhD who I first met in cyberspace who my wife and I met in person when we shared with him and his wife a St. Patrick’s Day feast at our house last March 17th, and we all hit it off famously.
Our friend’s wife is also named Karen and, like my Karen, Dr. John’s Karen is a beautiful believer in and follower of Jesus Christ. Me . . . well, let’s just say that I’m a work in progress. Dr. J. refers to himself as “75% atheist and 25% agnostic,” an amalgam that I call an “athe-ostic.”
Anyway, my friend wrote a blog post today that really just smacked me upside the head. "What is a Humanitarian?"
Dr. J’s post reminded me of who I once was and who I most want to be and most importantly whose I really and forever am.
I hope that my “athe-ostic” friend’s words blended with the Word of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ change me for good.

Beautiful thoughts from a beautiful person.
