Beauty From Ashes

Only Jesus does this.

This past Sunday, the pastor at the church where Karen and I visited used the Japanese art of Kintsugi to illustrate how God mends our hearts, minds, and souls . . . not by hiding our scars, but by making them useful and beautiful.

I was personally so grateful to hear this message because I was bringing to this new Year of our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Four my broken psyche that only a true Artist-Savior could ever restore.

Having been broken and mended by Jesus so many times in my life, I’m so eternally grateful that He never just throws me away . . . but, rather, makes my soul even more beautiful in His mending.

And He that sat upon the Throne said, “Behold, I make all things NEW.”

And He said unto me, “WRITE . . . for these Words are true and faithful.”
